WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Versailles firefighters spent Saturday afternoon putting out a large apartment building fire that displaced several families.
LEX 18 was told that eight units were destroyed, but everyone was able to get out safely.
Fire officials said the flames broke out on High Street around 2:30 p.m. but firefighters were there for hours continuing to monitor hot spots.
The Red Cross is helping the impacted families find somewhere else to stay.
There's no word yet on what may have caused the fire.
