LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Traffic was moving again Monday morning on Nicholasville Road after a crash involving a Fayette County deputy's cruiser had the roadway partially shut down.

The crash occurred about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Police said the deputy was leaving a parking lot off Moore Drive and tried to turn left onto Nicholasville Road.

Officials said the deputy had a green light when it was struck by a minivan that ran a red light.

Authorities tell LEX 18 the deputy was not hurt and the minivan driver suffered only a minor injury.

Two lanes of inbound Nicholasville Road were shut down while crews cleared the scene but since have reopened.
