LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Fayette Mall is making some changes to accommodate the food court restaurants to ensure they can stay open to serve customers during Black Friday sales.

Many things this year about Black Friday shopping will be different.

"We ask customers who come out to shop at Fayette Mall to practice good hygiene, to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing, to wear a mask or face covering and to not come if you're experiencing symptoms or have a fever," Sarah Robinson, Senior Marketing Director of Fayette Mall, said.

In addition, the Fayette Mall will provide hand sanitizer and continue to monitor mandates from Gov. Andy Beshear. Because indoor dining is shut down until December 13, the mall is providing a way for food court restaurants to still be able to serve shoppers.

"So we have some heaters in the tent, to keep it warmer because it's definitely a little cooler day right now," Robinson said.

Many retailers are also offering curbside pick-up or delivery options through various phone applications.

Fayette Mall recommends shoppers get out early and spread out their list.

"I highly recommend coming out and doing your shopping more spread out through the season. A lot of the deals that you can get on Black Friday are already happening now," Robinson said.
