BARDSTOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — The FBI is asking Nelson County residents for help with what it said could be a "crucial" development in the Crystal Rogers case.

Officials are asking the community to recall where they were in the early-morning hours of July 4, 2015, and are particularly interested in the area of Poplar Flats Road and Farmaway Drive.

Police want to hear about anything that was heard or seen that could be considered out of the ordinary. They are also asking for submissions of any surveillance video people might have in the area.

"The FBI and the community is asking you to share such information if you were in that area at that time," according to a post on the Crystal Rogers Task Force website. "Even if you do not believe your information is relevant, we still ask you contact us with any information from this time period and location."

The FBI announced on Aug. 6 it was taking over the investigation into Rogers' disappearance.

The 35-year-old mother of five has not been seen or heard from since July 3, 2015.
