LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A home in Lexington suffered significant damage in an overnight fire on the city's northeast side.
Officials said the blaze broke out just before midnight at the corner of Oak Hill and Highland Park drives in the East Loudon Avenue area.
Firefighters were able to quickly put down the fire, but officials said the home's design added some complexity. An addition to the back of the home was destroyed.
Officials tell LEX 18 that no one was in the home at the time, and authorities were trying to contact the homeowner.
It was not immediately clear where or how the fire started, and the blaze remained under investigation.
