LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington firefighters battle an early morning house fire.
They were called to a home on West Maxwell Street, between South Upper Street and South Limestone around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Police say no one was living in the home.
We're told one firefighter was sent to the hospital after falling on the scene. That firefighter is expected to be okay.
No word on what may have caused the fire. Officials tell LEX 18 an arson investigator was called to the scene.
Traffic was blocked in the area on West Maxwell Street from Lawrence Street to South Limestone for some time, but one lane has reopened.
