RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) — On Saturday night, a fundraiser was up to help the kids of Savannah Spurlock.
The mother of four from Richmond was murderedtwo years ago this month.
The event was held at the Paddy Wagon in Richmond.
This was the third time the fundraiser was attempted after the first two were postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
A local band known as Nightshade helped host the fundraiser, with 100% of proceeds going to those caring for Spurlock's children.
The band says after they received an anonymous donation before the event started, which helped them raise their goal for the evening to $2,000 or more.
