LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Funeral arrangements have been released for a former Lexington NAACP President who passed away over the weekend.
Arrangements for Flora Mitchell will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, at Main Street Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Her funeral services will be held at noon.
Mitchell was the president of the Lexington NAACP for 30 years. She was 84 years old.
Burial will be Monday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. at Blue Grass Memorial Cemetery.
