STANFORD, Ky. (LEX 18) — Funeral arrangements have been set for Scottie Ernst, the mayor of Stanford, who died Tuesday during a mowing accident.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff, Ernst was mowing city property when the accident happened.
Visitations are set for Sunday, July 19 from 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and Monday, July 20 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Stanford Baptist Church on Church Street in Stanford.
The funeral is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 20 at Stanford Baptist Church.
A burial ceremony will follow Monday at Buffalo Springs Cemetery (KY Hwy 78 Stanford, KY 40484).
State police are investigating the accident.
Ernst was elected as the mayor of Stanford in 2018.
