Golden Alert canceled after Lexington man found

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Lexington canceled a Golden Alert for an 89-year-old man with dementia after he was found safe.

The alert was issued Thursday for Henry "Hoppy" Shores after he went missing about 9 p.m. in the area of Alumni Drive and Chinoe Road.

Shores was found safe sometime Friday morning, officials said.
