LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A K9 tracker found two boys with mental disabilities who went missing early Tuesday morning.

Officials in Laurel County had issued a Golden Alert for 12-year-old Troy Nathaniel Shepherd and 13-year-old Anthony Cody Shepherd, who were described as runaways.

Authorities said the boys last were seen at 6 a.m. near Villas Court off Kentucky Highway 1956 west of London.

The Laurel County Rescue Squad was aiding in the search with a tracking dog, sheriff's officials said.

Handler McKenzie Jackson and her K9 Leah found the boys near where they were last seen, officials said.
