LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Gov.-elect Andy Beshear unveiled his new website for his gubernatorial transition.
Beshear said the initial site provides Kentuckians with a way to connect with the transition team and apply to work in the administration. As the transition progresses, the site will be updated.
The gov. elect is moving forward with his transition, despite a request from incumbent Gov. Matt Bevin for a recanvass of votes.
The recanvass will take place Thursday, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m.
Beshear stated in a press release that his team is preparing to address the issues that Kentucky families care about, like securing good jobs, accessing affordable health care, protecting and funding our pensions and supporting public education.
