FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Governor Andy Beshear and his family are now out of quarantine after testing negative once again for COVID-19.
It was two weeks ago when the governor announced that a member of his security detail tested positive for the virus, and the family went into quarantine.
He continued conducting virtual briefings Monday-Thursday during his family's quarantine.
On Saturday morning, Governor Beshear posted a picture with his son, Will, and his dog outside the Governor's mansion this morning saying the family has tested negative multiple times, which he thinks is due to the family wearing masks when they last saw the driver.
As of today I am officially out of quarantine after following the advice of the department for public health. We have tested negative for #COVID19 multiple times, which I contribute to the fact we were wearing masks at the time of contact. ^AB pic.twitter.com/TbgIb7gVhq
