LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Hazmat units were called to Lexington's recycling facility on Thompson Road after a small amount of muriatic acid was found.

Two employees were checked out as a precaution and others were sent home early to allow crews to secure the scene. The acid is believed to have been dropped off from a recycle collection.

The facility will operate as normal beginning Wednesday morning.
