Council officials say the public is invited to attend a community listening session on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Northern Kentucky Chamber in Fort Mitchell.
Thompson will discuss such issues as college access and affordability, student success, workforce quality and transitions to careers.
Participants will include business and community leaders, college and high school students, local superintendents and campus faculty, staff and administrators.
The tour will include stops later in the year at Campbellsville University, Morehead State University, Eastern Kentucky University, the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville.
