The Fayette County Coroner's Office has identified the person who was found dead on Maywick View Lane on Thursday afternoon.
According to the coroner's office, 60-year-old Walter Barnes Jr. was found in his home, and an investigation revealed he had been stabbed.
The coroner's office has ruled his death a homicide.

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead in the 1600 block of Maywick View Lane on Thursday, Lexington Police report.
According to the agency, crews were dispatched to the area just after 1 p.m. for a death investigation. When they arrived, they found a man had been stabbed; he was later pronounced dead on scene.
