SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — One of the horses rescued from the herd where 20 horses were shot and killed near Pike and Floyd Counties last year gave birth this past weekend.

According to the Kentucky Humane Society Equine CARE Facebook page, Hope foaled a healthy colt at Willow Hope Farm in Simpsonville on Sunday morning.

Hope has been at Willow Farm since December.

Despite COVID-19, the team is still caring for 40+ horses at the farm. Click here if you'd like to donate.

On Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., the Kentucky Humane Society will take part in a special Facebook live featuring Hope's foal... and a few other surprises.
