NICHOLAS COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Human remains have been identified as a Nicholas County woman who went missing nearly four years ago.

Lori Feltz, 58, was first reported missing back in 2016. Feltz had mental deficiencies due to a traumatic accident. On December 26, 2016, she went on a walk and never returned.

Kentucky State Police received information regarding her whereabouts back in September. A search warrant was executed at a farm on Hovermale Lane on September 18th, yielding no results. A second search warrant was executed 10 days later at the same location; KSP located several articles of clothing and human remains in a wooded area.

The Nicholas County Coroner has now positively identified Feltz's remains.

No cause of death has been determined at this time. The human remains will be sent to the University of Tennessee for further examination.
