Keeneland hosts College Scholarship Day

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Keeneland and Thoroughbred industry partners are set to offer a total of $70,000 in college scholarships Friday at the track.

That total pot is more than double the $30,000 offered in previous race meets.

After each race Friday there will be a drawing for a $2,000 scholarship

There will also be $10,000 Runhappy Scholarships from Jim and Linda McIngvale.

In addition, six, $5,000 scholarships from Claiborne Farm, Glen Hill Farm, Hinkle Farms, Paramount Sales, Solis/Litt Bloodstock and Taylor Made Farm complete with an exclusive farm experience.

Full-time students can also register to win scholarships and prizes from local vendors starting at 11 a.m. in the college zone in the north terrace.

Post time is at 1:05 Friday afternoon and college students get in free with their college ID.
