LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Keeneland's track announcer missed the final day of the Fall Meet today, after testing positive for COVID-19.

Keeneland officials say announcer Kurt Becker has some mild symptoms of the virus and he is now resting at home.

Churchill Downs announcer Travis Stone filled in to close the meet.

Track officials say they look forward to welcoming Becker back in the announcer's booth for Breeders' Cup in two weeks on November 6 and 7.

The track did not allow spectators for the meet. The only people allowed at Keeneland in October were owners and trainers, and some sponsors and box holders.
