PIKEVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police are investigating following a fatal crash in Pike County.
Troopers say it happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Red Creek community.
According to a press released, a vehicle traveling east on US 460 was turning left onto Red Creek Road, when it traveled intot he path of another vehicle heading west on US 460. A female passenger in the vehicle turning left was taken to Pikeville Medical Center where she later died.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected at this time.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
