Kentucky State Police requesting information on 1990 cold case

DRY RIDGE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State police, Post 6 in Dry Ridge, is in need of any information related to the murder of Sharon Elaine Charles Long, who was last spotted alive in Richmond, KY at the TA Truck Stop on March 29th,1990.

She was found dead in Grant County near Corinth in the area of I-75 the next day. If you believe you have information regarding this case, please call KSP at 859-428-1212. Detectives are currently undergoing an investigation for this case.

Elaine Long was last seen by her husband pulling into the parking lot of the Boron Truck stop of America in Richmond, Ky. at 9:30 p.m. on March 29th. Her body was found the next day at 2:45 p.m. along southbound I-75.

Elaine appeared to be wearing a green sweat shirt that had a unicorn on the front, blue jeans and pink and white L.A. Gear Tennis shoes. She may have possibly been wearing a maroon coat as well. It is also important to note that she did not have teeth and did not wear dentures.

KSP are looking to talk to whoever else may have seen, talked to, or given a ride to Elaine Long on either March 29th or March 30th, 1990.
