Ky. Department of Fish and Wildlife offering reward for info on poaching

KNOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who poached two bull elk in Knott County.

Officials are offering $4,000 for information on those responsible for the poaching of the two animals on Feb. 20 in the Ball Creek area of Knott County.

To provide tips to Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, call the department’s tip line at 1-800-25-ALERT, or KSP in Hazard at (606) 435-6069.

Anonymous tips also can be made by:
1. Texting keyword KFWLAW with your message to 847411 (tip411).
2. Using the KFWLaw app (iTunes App Store or Google Play Store).

The League of Kentucky Sportsmen and Safari Club International are donating the reward.
