LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Laurel County man accused of fatally shooting his wife last year was due in court Tuesday.
Authorities said 39-year-old Joshua Davenport was indicted on charges of murder and evidence tampering.
Police say Davenport initially told investigators that his wife -- 38-year-old Stephanie Davenport -- had committed suicide.
But police said Davenport pulled the trigger after the couple got into an argument.
Davenport's trial was set to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
