LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Laurel County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a 6-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a bathtub and later died.
Authorities say the boy was found off KY 1006 just south of London shortly after 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night. The child was found by his mother who contacted emergency services.
The child was pronounced dead by the Laurel County Coroner's Office. Officials say it appears the boy drowned in the tub.
An autopsy is scheduled in Frankfort on Wednesday to determine the cause of death.
