LONDON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man has been arrested after officers say he stole a dozen lawnmowers and two skeet machines.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says at around 11:00 p.m. Friday, 47-year-old Gillis Yocum was arrested off Bill Subdivision Road in London. Earlier in the day, deputies found 10 of the mowers and the skeet machines at a home off Haley Ridge Road near London.

The homeowner told deputies that Yocum had said to him that the mowers and skeet machines were left to him from a family member that had passed away recently.

Yocum has been charged with theft by unlawful taking – $10,000 or more but under $1 million – and was taken to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
