LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX News) — A new underpass beneath Newtown Pike on the Legacy Trail is now open in Lexington, giving pedestrians and cyclists a safer route through one of the path's busiest crossings.
The 12-mile trail runs from downtown Lexington to the Kentucky Horse Park.
As crews finish roadway improvements, the crossing at Citation Boulevard is temporarily closed. Trail users are being directed through the new underpass.
