LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The coronavirus pandemic has reached across the world, and its impact is now being felt in Kentucky.

Since the first test was confirmed positive in Kentucky on March 6, there have been 20 additional positive cases.

Health officials and Governor Andy Beshear warn there will be many more.

In this time of encouraged hand-washing and social distancing, LEX 18 will be making changes at the workplace as well.

Starting on Sunday March 15, you'll only see one anchor present at the desk during each newscast.

The news anchor, meteorologist and sports anchor will be keeping a safe distance, a minimum of six feet.

We have to practice what we preach, and follow guidelines from government, health officials and the CDC.

We are dedicated to bring you the news every morning and night, and will do so as safely as we can.

We're all in this with you.
