LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington activist and artist Devine Carama is kicking off his annual "A Coat to Keep the Cold Away" coat drive.

Carama has been featured heavily in the news for his efforts to raise attention and funds to purchase brand new coats for children in need across the Commonwealth. Notably, he rapped outside for 48 hours in the cold and suffered frostbite.

His non-profit organization, Believing in Forever, has received over 2,000 requests.

You can donate new coats at the Plantory, located at 501 W 6th Street in downtown Lexington.

You can also make a financial donation via the group's Facebook page.
