LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The iconic room of Beth Harmon from the Lexington-based Netflix series "The Queen's Gambit" is coming to life at a local hotel thanks to a partnership between VisitLEX and 21c Lexington.

The recently unveiled "Harmon Room" at 21c Lexington features an American mid-century modern design with nods to the show's most memorable moments and characters, according to the VisitLEX website. The room's furniture and accessories are sourced from private collectors and local retailers.

The room also includes a "larger than life" chessboard installation suspended from the ceiling to replicate Harmon's drug-induced hallucinations featured in the show.

"The Queen's Gambit" was released on Netflix in 2020 and is based on the 1983 novel by local author Walter Tevis.

The Harmon Room comes equipped with a locally made chess set available for purchase and a guide to local landmarks featured on the show.

The room is available for a limited time.
