Lexington businessman, restaurateur, horseman Warren W. Rosenthal dies at 96

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Warren W. Rosenthal, a Lexington businessman, restaurateur, horseman and civic leader, died Saturday at 96.

Milward Funeral Home reported the death.

Rosenthal headed Jerrico Inc., the parent company that launched Long John Silver's fast-food seafood restaurants and later Fazoli's, an Italian fast-food chain.

He also owned and operated Patchen Wilkes Farm, where he raised Thoroghbred horses.

A visitation will be held 10 a.m. to noon Monday, followed by services at 1 p.m. at Temple Adath Israel, 124 N. Ashland Ave.
