Lexington fire officials rescue person after falling nearly 100 feet

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington fire officials rescued a person after falling about 100 feet at Raven Run Nature Sanctuary.

According to the Lexington Fire Department, multiple crews responded to call of a person who fell after slipping off-trail around 3:40 p.m. Sunday.

We were told the patient was alert and talking while crews worked to get to the person. Lexington Fire Department says the person has non-life-threatening injuries but is being taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
