LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Lexington Fire Department is responding to a scene in the 1100 block of Centerville Lane where LEX 18 captured heavy smoke and fire in the area.
LFD reported that at around 2 p.m. units were called to a working structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire conditions coming from a two-story home.
Crews began a defensive fire attack due to the extent of the fire to contain the fire from outside and protect the surrounding area.
LFD added that the fire remains active as of 3:45 p.m. and units are working to control the fire.
