Lexington Police make shooting arrest

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington Police have arrested a man in connection to a Tuesday shooting.

Around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the area of Newtown Pike and Citation Boulevard for assault with a weapon.

When they arrived, police say they found two victims with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Officials say the shootings happened on Newtown Pike near the intersection of Haskins Drive. After an investigation, police arrested Tremonte Homer, 19.

Homer is now charged with first degree assault and is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
