Lexington school hosts 'Gobble Grease Toss' recycling event

LEXINGTON RESIDENTS HAVE THE CHANCE TO GO GREEN AFTER THANKSGIVING AND RECYCLE COOKING OIL FOR FREE AT THE "GOBBLE GREASE TOSS." — Lexington residents have the chance to go green after Thanksgiving and recycle cooking oil for free at the "Gobble Grease Toss."

Students and parent volunteers from Redwood Cooperative School are hosting the event aimed at keeping the oil used in Thanksgiving meal preparations from being disposed of improperly.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school, 166 Crestwood Drive in Lexington.

Participants are asked to bring cooking oil only, in a disposable container with a lid.

The event is for Lexington residents only.
