Lucy's home for holidays! Stolen dog missing for months found safe in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A dog stolen from her home in southern Ky. was recovered by Lexington-Fayette Animal Control officers and returned to her loving family just in time for Christmas.

According to a post, Lucy was allegedly stolen from her family in Clinton County in September of this year. The labradoodle was only a puppy when she was taken and her family had been searching for her.

Kentucky State Police troopers were able to identify a suspect in the case and with the help of Lexington-Fayette County Animal Care & Control officers conducted a search at the resident.

The unidentified suspect was charged with a felony and Lucy was returned to her family.
