A Madison County man is behind bars after being charged with rape and assault following an incident early Friday morning.
Deputies arrested Everette Moore after a reported sexual assault that happened around 1:30 a.m. The victim told police she was raped and physically assaulted.
Moore faces six charges including first-degree rape, strangulation and unlawful imprisonment.
