Man in hospital with life-threatening injuries after Lexington shooting, younger brother charged

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington man has been charged with shooting his older brother.

Lexington Police arrested 25-year-old Cameren Fisher early Wednesday for first-degree assault.

Police say at around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to a home on Atiya Place for a reported shooting. The first officer on scene found 30-year-old man outside the home who was shot. The officer performed CPR on him until paramedics arrived. The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses quickly identified Cameren Fisher to police as the shooter. He was located at a home on Alexandria Drive and taken into custody.

Fisher is currently at the Fayette County Detention Center.
