BOURBON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The man accused of robbing two Bourbon County banks with a toy gun back in December has now been indicted by a federal grand jury.

35 year-old Cheikh Gueye now faces two charges of bank robbery punishable by up to 20 years in prison if he's convicted.

The indictment alleges he held up Kentucky bank on December 11, getting away with $5,600.

While authorities were investigating the first robbery, police say he allegedly robbed Blue Grass Federal Savings and Loan, getting another $2,200.

Gueye is being held in the Bourbon County Jail.
