LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Laurel County man accused in a deadly UTV crash pleaded not guilty Monday morning to charges of murder.
Authorities said 24-year-old Jordan Obenauer of London crashed a 2016 Can-Am Maverick off U.S. Highway 25 about eight miles north of London
The judge Monday said Obenauer admitted to drinking beer, wine, whiskey and mixed drinks prior to the accident.
A 17-year-old passenger from Barbourville was killed in the crash. Officials have not released her name to the public.
The crash remains under investigation.
A judge Monday ordered Obenauer held on $100,000 bail. He is due back in court Nov. 5 for a preliminary hearing.
