MANCHESTER, Ky. (LEX 19) — Police in Manchester arrested a man who they said cut, choked and threatened to kill his girlfriend.

Authorities said 20-year-old Austin Ben Jackson faces several charges in the domestic disturbance.

An officer responding to a noise complaint said found a woman "bleeding, and visibly shaken." Police said the woman told the officer Jackson had assaulted her, cutting and choking her, and threated to kill her.

The responding officer said he ordered Jackson out of the apartment and removed a knife from his possession.

Jackson was arrested and charged with first-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree domestic violence and first-degree wanton endangerment.

He was being held in the Clay County Detention Center.
