MONTICELLO, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Monticello Fire Department reports that a person and a dog were rescued from a house fire overnight on Branch Road.
According to officials, upon arriving on the scene, they were able to extricate the person from the home and locate a dog trapped inside.
Officials say that once rescued, the dog was provided oxygen, and the person was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire without much damage to the home.
