NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Two people from Jessamine County have died after a collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
The Fayette County Coroner's Office says it happened at US 27 at Industry Parkway in Nicholasville. The driver of the motorcycle, 37-year-old Aaron Duke, was traveling north shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when the collision happened.
Authorities say EMS responded to the scene and took Duke, along with 34-year-old Melissa Scott, a passenger on the motorcycle, to UK Medical Center. Both died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
