Murder suspect to appear in court

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man arrested for murder Thursday is expected to appear in court today.

Jeremy Jackson, 21, is accused of shooting and killing a man on Florence Avenue earlier this month. The shooting happened on Sept 15. Caroll Martin was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to UK hospital, where he later died.

Witnesses saw a man fleeing from the scene.

Lexington police arrested Jackson after conducting a search on Rogers Road yesterday afternoon.

Jackson has been charged with murder and is currently being held in the Fayette Detention Center.
