LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Lexington said the arrival of needed rain showers also has brought multiple calls of crashes caused by weather-related road condition.
Authorities said that since the rain picked up overnight Sunday into Monday, officers have responded to several wrecks, with drivers reporting sliding off rain-slicked roads.
After more than a month without measurable rain, the showers also caused reported flash flooding in some areas.
Police said no serious injuries were reported in the wrecks or flooding.
