NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Nelson County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating an inmate that escaped during transport to the Nelson County Jail Friday afternoon.
Police say that Jawan McKnight is wanted for warrant on trafficking meth and other related offenses; he is believed to be on foot in the area of the Nelson County Jail, Bardstown High School, and Maple Hill.
If seen, the public is asked to not approach him, but to contact Nelson County Dispatch or 911.
