BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Boyle County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies responded to the scene of a 'downed aircraft' at Stuart Powell Field on Friday.
Officials reported no injuries and that the incident occurred at on the property of Danville-Boyle County Airport.
Officials detailed that at around 8:15 Friday morning, a Cessna Citation XLS was deparking DVK's runway and "encountered an issue." Officials noted that the pilots "elected to abort the takoff," which reulted in the aircraft coming to a stop off the west end of the runway in the grass.
