LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — People in a home on Lexington's northwest side received a scare early Tuesday morning when a vehicle crashed into the residence before driving away.

Police said the vehicle slammed into the home about 1 a.m. on Alice Drive, not far from the intersection of Georgetown Road and Citation Boulevard.

Officials said several people were home at the time, including one who was in the room that was struck. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Authorities said the vehicle drove off, and police are searching for it.

The Lexington Fire Department has shored up the structure and the residents will be able to continue staying there.
