LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A motorcyclist has died following an overnight motorcycle collision on New Circle Road.
Fayette County Coroner's Office identified the motorcyclist as 26-year-old Yuriy Aube.
Police say a vehicle and motorcyclist crashed around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday on the outer loop of New Circle, near the Nicholasville Road exit.
According to the coroner's report, the cause of death was blunt trauma injuries to the head and torso and extremities. The manner of death is ruled as a motorcycle collision.
Aube was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
LPD is currently investigating the incident.
That stretch of New Circle Road reopened around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
