(LEX 18) — In the least surprising news you will read this week....the Kentucky Distillers' Association confirms that there are two barrels of bourbon for every Kentuckian in the state.
Kentucky's famous Bourbon and distilled spirits industry set two records in 2019 by filling more than 2.1 million barrels of Bourbon and aging 9.1 million total barrels of spirits.
The previous record was 8.7 million barrels in 1968.
According to census records, Kentucky's population is estimated to stand at 4.5 million residents.
